TPEE (thermoplastic polyester elastomer) is a block copolymer containing polyester hard segments and polyether soft segments. The polyether soft segment and the uncrystallized polyester form an amorphous phase and the polyester hard segment is partially crystallized to form a crystalline microdomain, which acts as a physical cross-linking point. TPEE has the elasticity of rubber and the strength of engineering plastics; the soft segment gives it elasticity, making it like rubber; the hard segment gives it processing performance, making it like plastic; compared with rubber, it has better processing performance and longer. Service life; compared with engineering materials, it also has the characteristics of high strength, and better flexibility and dynamic mechanical properties.

Main application areas:

Applications and advantages:

1) Antenna: Its excellent resistance to external environment, ozone resistance, UV resistance, and weather resistance can reduce the loss of signal reception, and its excellent hand feel is the best choice for car antennas and mobile phone antennas.

2) Engine intake pipe: The method of processing the intake pipe is usually 3-D or negative pressure blow molding, which is a molding technology that uses a relatively simple and low-cost mold to make a long hollow pipe. The convenient and simple installation and processing technology make TPEE widely used in the production of this part. Blow molding can reduce the number of parts and the process of installation, resulting in lower part cost than traditional rubber solutions.

7) Inflatable tube: TPEE's excellent pressure resistance, excellent creep performance and spiral resilience are also better than PA11 and TPU, so it is very suitable for inflatable spiral tubes.

8) Air brake pipe: The truck is braked by the air brake pipe. The air brake pipe made of TPEE conforms to the ISO 7628 standard.

9) Plug cover, sealing cover: KEYFLEX products have excellent chemical resistance and weather resistance, so that they are used to seal automotive structural parts to prevent corrosion, and have better performance and longer service life than other elastomers.

10) Gear silencing gear: KEYFLEX (Kafu Lux) BT series products can be used for gears of electronic devices and toys. Such as the slide rail part of CD/DVD. Can also be used for internal parts of camcorders. |Silencing Gear |KEYFLEX BT-1063D has been used in the production of CD/DVD players with good shape stability, wear resistance and low noise.

11) Electronic devices and fiber optic cable extrusion products are very suitable for fiber optic cable products that are in direct contact with copper. Shows good heat resistance, elasticity, creep properties and insulating properties. Used in cables, robots, communication lines, etc.

1. Mechanical properties, by adjusting the ratio of soft and hard segments, the hardness of TPEE can be from Shore 30-82D, and its elasticity and strength are between rubber and plastic. Compared with other thermoplastic elastomers, under low strain conditions, TPEE modulus is higher than other thermoplastic elastomers of the same hardness. When modulus is an important design condition, using TPEE can reduce the cross-sectional area of ​​the product and reduce the amount of material. TPEE has extremely high tensile strength. Compared with polyurethane (TPU), the compressive modulus and tensile modulus of TPEE are much higher. The same part made of TPEE and TPU with the same hardness can withstand greater loads. Above room temperature, TPEE has a high flexural modulus, and at low temperatures it is not as hard as TPU, so it is suitable for making cantilever beams or torsion-type parts, especially for high-temperature parts. TPEE has good low temperature flexibility, low temperature notched impact strength is better than other TPEs, and wear resistance is comparable to TPU. Under low strain conditions, TPEE has excellent fatigue resistance and low hysteresis loss, this feature combined with high elasticity makes the material ideal for multiple cyclic loading conditions, gears, rubber rollers, flexible Couplings and belts can be used.

2. Thermal properties, TPEE has excellent heat resistance, the higher the hardness, the better the heat resistance; TPEE basically does not lose weight when continuously heated at 110-140 °C for 10 hours, and when heated at 160 °C and 180 °C for 10 hours, the weight loss is only 0.05% and 0.05%. 0.1%, so the use temperature of TPEE is very high, the short-term use temperature is higher, it can adapt to the baking temperature of the automobile production line (150 ~ 160 ℃), and it has little loss of mechanical properties at high and low temperatures. TPEE is used above 120 °C, and its tensile strength is much higher than TPU. In addition, TPEE also has excellent low temperature resistance. TPEE has a brittle point below -70 °C and the lower the hardness, the better the cold resistance. Long-term use at 40°C. Due to the balanced performance of TPEE at high and low temperatures, it has a very wide operating temperature range and can be used at -70 to 200 °C.

Chemical resistance, TPEE has excellent oil resistance, and is resistant to most polar liquid chemical media (such as acids, alkalis, amine diols) at room temperature, but to halogenated hydrocarbons (except Freon) and phenols However, it is powerless, and its resistance to chemicals increases with its hardness. TPEE has good anti-swelling performance and anti-penetration performance to most organic solvents, fuels and gases, and its permeability to fuel is only 1/3~1 of that of oil-resistant rubber such as neoprene, chlorosulfonated polyethylene, and nitrile rubber. /300, but TPEE has poor hot water resistance, and the addition of polycarbonimide stabilizer can significantly improve its hydrolysis resistance.

4. Weather resistance and aging resistance, TPEE has excellent chemical stability under many different conditions, such as water mist, ozone, outdoor atmospheric aging, etc. Like most elastomers, they degrade under UV light, so for outdoor applications or where the product is exposed to sunlight, UV light protection additives, including carbon black and various pigments or other shielding materials, should be added to the formulation ; In addition, TPEE also has different degrees of hydrolysis.
